DTF Transfer Instructions(UV & Textile)

Textile Transfers (Fabric) DTF Application Instructions:

  1. Design Preparation:
    • Create or select your design using graphic design software that supports DTF printing.
    • Ensure the dimensions of your design match the size of your fabric or garment.
  2. Preparation of Fabric:
    • Pre-heat your textile fabric or garment on the heat press to eliminate any moisture and wrinkles.
  3. Positioning the DTF Film:
    • Place the cured DTF film with the adhesive side facing down onto the fabric.
    • Carefully align the design correctly on the fabric.
  4. Heat Press Setup:
    • Pre-heat your heat press to 315-320°F (approximately 157-160°C).
  5. Pressing Process:
    • Cover the DTF film and fabric with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper to protect both the fabric and the heat press platen.
    • Press the fabric and DTF film together using the heat press at the recommended temperature and time. Typically, this is around 315-320°F (157-160°C) for 15 seconds.
    • Apply medium to high pressure to ensure the design adheres properly to the fabric.
  6. Cooling and Peeling:
    • After heat pressing, allow the fabric to cool for a few seconds while still covered.
    • Peel off the DTF film carefully and smoothly in a consistent motion to reveal the transferred design on the fabric.
  7. Re-pressing:
    • Preferably, re-press the fabric with the design exposed for an additional 15 seconds to ensure secure adhesion.
  8. Final Check:
    • Allow the fabric to cool completely before handling.
    • Your DTF transfer is now complete, and the design should be securely adhered to the fabric.

UV DTF Stickers Application Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Surface:
    • Clean the surface thoroughly to remove any dirt, grease, or debris.
    • Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying the sticker.
    • Avoid using alcohol or solvents that could damage the adhesive.
  2. Cut the Sticker:
    • Cut out the sticker or decal, trimming away any excess clear carrier sheet around the design.
  3. Position the Sticker:
    • Fold back a small part of the backing and align the center of the sticker with where you want it placed.
    • Press down firmly in the center of the sticker and then gradually smooth outwards towards the edges to prevent air bubbles.
  4. Squeegee the Sticker:
    • Use the padded end of a squeegee or a credit card to apply firm and even pressure over the entire surface of the sticker.
    • Stroke back and forth 2–4 times, paying particular attention to small or intricate design elements.
  5. Peel the Backing:
    • Starting from a corner or an edge, slowly peel away the clear carrier sheet from the sticker.
    • If any part of the sticker begins to lift with the carrier sheet, gently press it back down with your fingers before continuing.
  6. Activate the Adhesive:
    • Once the sticker is applied, use your body temperature to activate the adhesive.
    • Gently rub over the entire surface of the sticker with your hand or a soft cloth for 3–5 minutes.
    • This process helps the sticker adhere securely and reduces the chances of lifting.
